The Baltimore Salsa Meetup group has Meetups planned in the Baltimore area---check out what's on tap, and if you go, please introduce yourself to Barb, the Organizer of the group! To visit that site, go to: salsa.meetup.com/163.
A Danceintime team will be performing at the Philadelphia Salsa Congress, the New York Salsa Congress, and the Puerto Rico Congress in 2008! Look for some cool photos of these special events coming up!!
There are so many upcoming activities, it is best to check the "Email Information" page on this website as information on what is coming up is listed in some detail there.

RECENT ACTIVITIES
DanceInTime produced a show in late May for an outdoor stage at a park, with Grupo Latino playing live music for open dancing that followed! We did a Salsa, Rueda, Cha Cha, Tango, Swing, a Medley Routine, and a Hip Hop performance! Some video from that show will be on the site soon! The photo below shows some of the dancers in the show.

On Sun. May 4, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra performed at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park. Preceding that concert, DanceInTime taught Salsa Rueda. But for the DanceInTime crew, the highlight of the evening was when they were invited onto the stage to dance while the orchestra played! Earl Rush of StuckonSalsa danced with Barb in partnership for a while, and then four ladies did a women's Rueda. Finally, Early led both Rita and Teresa simultaneously. This was all to the sounds of the Spanish Harlem Orchestra (!!) which was great fun. The three singers from the orchestra only sing during some of their numbers and when we went offstage, they happened to go offstage as well. So behind the curtain, we talked with the singers from the group and danced as well--just jamming to the music from the next song that was being performed! It was great fun!
Maryland Day, a great annual event at the U of MD took place on April 26, 08 and Danceintime taught an hour-long Rueda Casino class and also performed Salsa Rueda and Cha Cha at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts outdoor stage! This was great fun and we got to introduce Casino Rueda to some new folks!

On the weekend of April 19th, there was a big Rueda Fiesta/Congress where Danceintime did two Rueda performances. Other local Rueda groups performed too, as many groups all came together for this annual joint event at Glen Echo Park on Saturday night. This was a big, fun event with many attendees! Below are some of the dancers who did the Rueda routine at that show! In addition, Danceintime taught and performed at the Baltimore pre-party on Friday night, 4/18.

On April 2nd, the Tribute to Women in Salsa program included a debut performance by the women's team from Danceintime. This medley had three segments--rumba, salsa, and Polynesian dancing. An additional piece of the medley will be added for the final Congress shows. Below are photos of the five team members who performed there. Note that another team member was unable to join in the performance that night.

On Feb. 9th, there was a scholarship fund-raising, formal Gala at the Fontaine Bleu in Glen Burnie. DIT provided a couple of performances for entertainment at this event which were very well received.
On Sat. Feb. 23, some DIT dancers taught Salsa and did a Rueda demo at a program sponsored by a hospital to benefit women's health. The program was called "Day of Dance" and admission was free. There were free health screenings along with the dance instruction and performances. Again the Salsa was something everyone enjoyed a lot!
On Dec. 15, a Sat night, DIT entertained at a holiday party in Gaithersburg. Both ballroom and Latin dances were performed at this gig and Salsa was taught. The audience loved it!
On Dec. 13, DIT taught and performed at a Holiday Party at a gorgeous, upscale venue, the Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda, MD. Sam Boone, Chika and Sherly joined Barb at the party and taught and demonstrated Salsa and Merengue dancing. The party crowd greatly enjoyed the lessons.
On Nov. 16, 07, several DIT dancers provided entertainment for a couple of sets where they taught and performed, and ran some open dancing at a fund-raiser for the Boys and Girls Club in Annapolis. Eric Sanchez, Luciann Bracero, Sheena Lyons and Vince Ford were the performers and they demonstrated Salsa and Rueda, and taught Merengue and Salsa!
DIT did something very unique on 11/2/07. The SPCA had a formal fund-raising event at the Westin, a new upscale hotel in Annapolis. The sponsoring organization used the theme "Putting on the Ritz" for this event. They wanted a tap dance performance that would imitate the dance done to that song by Fred Astaire in the movie with the same name. So DIT found a professional tap dancer who dressed in top hat and tails, and choreographed a presentation to the song, Putting on the Ritz. And then several tap dancers did a show together. Finally, some Latin dancers did Salsa, Cha Cha and Merengue. Check out the performance videos page of this website for video clips of this unique show!
Every fall, Montgomery County High Schools sponsor a Latin Dance Competition,
and some professional dancers sit on the judging panel. The competition
includes an array of categories: team presentations, salsa couples, merengue
couples, etc.

Competitors in the "alumnus" category of the 2007 Montgomery County High School Latin Dance Competition, which Barb judged.
In late October, 07
On 10/13/07, Barb taught Rueda at Elan Dance Studio in Virginia at 7 and 8 PM. The first is a beginners class and the second is for more experienced Casineros and it was something different: a Workshop on Calling Rueda.
On 10/12/07, DanceInTime taught and performed at the Norwood School (a private school) in Bethesda. It was nice to bring Latin dance to youngsters. This was for a multi-cultural program that was being run that day. There is a web clip of Paco and Kim performing a Salsa at this event on the performance videos page, near the bottom.
On October 27, 07, Teresa and Pablo taught and performed for DIT at a wedding. It turned out that Pablo had grown up in the same town (I think in Puerto Rico) that the groom had. So they all had a great time dancing together!
On 9/29/07, DIT ran a Latin dance and taught and performed at the Jin Lounge in Washington DC. We had a humongous turnout and although the club floor was packed like sardines, no one minded and everyone had a wildly good time!! It was wonderful! The response to our Rueda and our Salsa performances was tremendous! People were taking pictures with some members of the group after the show!!

DanceInTime ran open dancing, taught and performed at Jin Lounge as part of the Dance DC Festival, 09/07
10/6/07, DanceInTime performed at Taste of Bethesda. We did Ruedas, Rumba, Cha Cha, Merengue, and Swing. The crowd really enjoyed the lively music and dance!
Note that DIT has informal, open dancing/parties at the Avalon Studio from time to time replacing the class. It is open to anyone who loves Salsa, whether they do Rueda or not. The first one, in August, was a blast!
On August 16, 2007 a Rueda class was offered by Barb Bernstein at Red Maple, a new club in Baltimore. Class ran from 8:30 to 9:30 PM. And there are more classes there coming up in Nov and Dec.
Near the end of the summer, 2007, DIT was hired to dance at IKEA in College Park. Rita and Tom performed and taught in their upstairs cafe. Everyone enjoyed seeing them dance!
On Sat, September 8, 07 Danceintime performed at 8 PM at the Prince Georges County Fair. There are many photos of that show on this site; we had ten dancers do all variations of partnership Salsa, large and small Rueda circles, and some Bachata, Cha Cha, Rumba, etc.

On Sunday, Sept 9, 07 Barb conducted a Rueda workshop at Glen Echo Park from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the Spanish Ballroom. She was asked to do some additional workshops in the spring so keep your eyes peeled if you are a Glen Echo fan!
On Sept 14, 07, DIT performed and taught at the Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg, VA. The theater was kicking off their Hispanic Heritage Month celebration by showing El Cantante and hired DIT to perform two thirty minute sets prior to each showing of the movie.
On Sept. 16, 07 (a Sunday), Danceintime performed at 1 PM at the Anne Arundel County Fair. We taught Salsa and performed some Ruedas.
On 9/18/07 Hector Chavez, Jessa Steinbeck, Garrett English, Vince Ford, Marian Titerance, and myself did some Rueda demos and some Bachata, Salsa, Rumba, Cha Cha and Merengue at a Hispanic Heritage Month Festival at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. It was lots of fun and very well received. In addition, on 9/2/07 DIT produced another shows for Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrations at the National Defense University. As we exited the stage from the latter show, many people stood in appreciation of our program which was very rewarding! In both shows, we also taught members of the audience at the end so "a good time was had by all!"

I always hear many good things about the Miami Salsa Congress, run by Rene Gueits of SalsaLovers. It's the first weekend of August every year. A few local Casineros including Glen, Danny and others, went in 2005 and in 2007, the DIT women's team performed there and Barb taught a workshop as well!

Barb Bernstein conducted a very successful team building Rueda class at the Fitness Center for the Government Accountability Office on July 18, 07 at lunchtime. The group learned Rueda with an emphasis on team-work. They were paired into subgroups that helped each other with the steps. It was fun and everyone learned some fun moves.
On Friday July 20, 07 there was a Salsa Rueda demonstration and lesson at Artscape, Baltimore's huge annual summer festival that is free and open to the public. Then on Sunday, July 22, at noon, a variety of Latin dances were also presented by Rita and Erick, with some instruction as well. These Danceintime presentations were in front of the Lyric Opera House. This is such a huge festival, we draw what must be a hundred people who are passing by on the street when the Latin music comes on!!

On July 21, 07, the Bowie Baysox had a "Dancing With the Stars" Day at their stadium in Bowie. DanceInTime teachers Jessa, Barb, Teresa, and Gisselle taught local celebrities who then competed by dancing with their teacher during breaks in the game! The teaching occurred during the first two thirds of the game, in a private office at the stadium. DanceInTime teachers taught Mr. Steinberg, a sports writer for the Washington Post and Brian van de Graf, the ABC's TV noon weatherman. This was great fun, and was modeled after the hit TV show. Below is Steinberg's blog on the experience from July 23, 2007.

....Luckily, the only sporting event I came in personal contact with this
weekend was the Bowie Baysox game on Saturady night. Unluckily, I was there for
"Dancing With the Stars" night, for which someone had decided I was proper
material to be one of the dancing stars. This meant that four equally unlucky
instructors from
DanceInTime.com were forced to listen to me wailing about my rhythmic
deficiencies for seven innings, until I finally was allowed to go on the field
and attempt to Meringue Merengue for 80 seconds, at which time I promptly forgot
all my steps and sort of wobbled about the third-base line with my partners....
The instructors were very nice and kind and gentle, and their company should be
properly patronized, but I was awful.
My competition was WJLA's popular weather person Brian van de Graaff, who,
thanks to years of being On Your Side, had lots of fans who were clearly On His
Side. Also, he is naturally blessed with what the instructors called "Cuban
Motion." Trust me, I am not.
Anyhow, I need a few more days to collect myself, but there will be video of the
dance-off on CSN's Washington Post Live tonight, and later on the blog.

ARTICLE BY DAN STEINBERG,
SPORTS WRITER FOR THE WASHINGTON POST:
July 25, 2007
I Dance With the Stars----Or whatever.
I really have nothing left to say about this. All my memories of the events of
Saturday night have been completely erased...
Actually, I do have some slight memory of this long speech I gave to Barb, one
of my
instructors, about how this dancing thing was quite the metaphor for life,
and how some people are gifted with naturally fluid movements and thus bound
joyfully through life with their soaringly optimistic personalities, looking as
weightless as Nick Young on a moonbounce, and how others instead move with the
grace of Dmitri Young on a treadmill, cruising through life with all the levity
of a broken-down minivan traversing Benning Road, and that whether you can dance
is probably in some ways a fine measure of all these other issues of lightness
and weight, but maybe I'm just imagining all that.
And try not to watch the dancing portions of what follows on an empty stomach.

At Glen Echo on Sat, June 23, 07, Barb taught a Salsa/Rueda class and did a Rueda demonstration at Glen Echo Park's "Then and Wow" event. The workshop introduced the dance to those who might be interested in the one-time Rueda workshop that will be featured there on Sunday Sept from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. (The cost of that workshop is $20.)

At the annual Meetup picnic on Sunday afternoon, July 2 (see Salsa.meetup.com--the DC Salsa Meetup group), Danceintime taught a Rueda class. This picnice is always a lot of fun and there were many classes and performances going on!

Above: Rueda class by D.I.T. at the meetup picnic, 7/07
On June (6/10/07) at the Washington D.C. Salsa Congress, the Danceintime women's team performed a new version of their Charlie's Angels routine (a Cha Cha), including a section with some hip hop!! It was very well received and video of the performance is up on this site on the performance videos page! Check it out!
On My 6, 07, Prince Georges Community College hosted their annual Caribbean Fest. The women's team from DIT did their debut performance at this event a couple of years ago. Video of the then 10-women team is available on this website on the Performance Videos page if you are curious! This year, DIT provided instruction and performances at the event which is at the PGCC campus in Largo, MD. It is a free event--no charge to get in. They have music and entertainment all afternoon on a main stage and things for children as well in another location, along with vendors, food, etc. It's a fun event. And to get the spirit of the event going in advance, they have activities the week before which they call "Spirit Week." Barb and Tommy Smith (Mr. Mambo) taught and performed mid-week during Spirit Week to pique interest in the Latin Dancing at the Festival. And they had a Dancing With the Stars contest for students as well!
Also on May 6, 07 DIT is entertained at a private party--a company picnic for a company called EZ-Storage. We performed Salsa, Rueda, and taught as well as conducting another "Dancing With the Stars" contest for employees of that company. That is a popular theme these days it seems!
Barb, Rodrigo, and Anka have videotaped instructional material for this and another website. We explain Rueda moves, some in both English and Spanish, and walk them through slowly and to music. These are now up on this website. In addition, a man who runs an international site contacted me to say that he liked my instructional videos and asked if I would create some for his site. At his site, users pay a small fee to see each move. Users can download them many times after paying for a particular move through paypal. It's actually quite a nice idea. So are many moves added to my site now, and you can check out what is available from DIT on theclave.com, too. The moves there and the ones on theclave are different moves, of course--no overlap. Paypal is easy to use if you want to watch any of the steps on theclave.com. Of course, for anyone local, we teach these moves in class as well!!
On Thursday, April 26, 07, Barb and Justin, a talented newcomer to DanceInTime performances taught a class at Indian Creek School in Crownsville, MD to their ninth graders. The ninth grade was studying Latin America, so as part of their curriculum, they learned a little Salsa and Merengue, and saw a Salsa demonstration by Barb and Justin.
There was a big Rueda party at Glen Echo on April 21, 07, in the Spanish Ballroom. This was the Second Annual Salsa Rueda Fiesta. We tried to break-the-record of the most Washington area Rueda dancers in a circle which was a lot of fun. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced salsa and rueda classes were held--Barb taught some advanced moves in the class sessions. Open dancing to the music of Sin Miedo began at 9 pm. It was a special event that Hadar Harel, a NYC Rueda teacher who is a friend of Barb's came down for, along with some of her group. The group spent the night at Barb's place and on Sunday morning they did a "step exchange," sharing with each other favorite moves they do with their groups. It was a big weekend for local Rueda dancers, with performances from all the groups and nearly all local Rueda dancers, it seemed, participating!
Glen and Barb taught a two-hour class at Bowie State University on April 20, 07 and did a Salsa performance at the conclusion of the program. We taught both partnership Salsa and Rueda de Casino and the students did a great job in picking it up. We were able to cover a lot of moves! This was part of a special week-long program of Fine Arts activities at the University.
A Danceintime team performed at the Women in Salsa program on 3/28/07 at Zanzibar's Nightclub in DC. That is a great event with many women-only teams. The team did an all-women's version of their Charlie's Angels routine, with one of the women functioning as a spy---a double agent!! It is a very nice and a funny routine! Video of this will be on the website soon.
The women's team also performed at Shaka's March party at his new studio as well as at Hector Chavez's new venue, Ocean View in Wheaton. At those venues we did the Rebellion routine which is done to a song by that title and portrays a slave rebellion! There will be video up on this site soon from one of those shows.
On March 24, 07, Barb and Glen did a Salsa demo and taught Salsa briefly at a fundraiser for Outward Bound in Baltimore. It is always fun to bring some dancing into the life of folks who aren't regulars on the dance floor. We danced to the live music of the Pat Alban band which does a Latin mix.
Also in March, Barb taught a brief lesson at a performing arts event at Bowie State University. It was a very nice event--there were quite a wide variety of dance styles and groups, from modern to hip hop. At the end the audience and many performers alike came up on the large stage and joined in learning a few Salsa moves. It was a nice way to end the program.
In early 2007, a group of students from Walter Johnson High School in Montgomery County performed a short Rueda routine that they learned from the DanceInTime classes and from additional instruction that was given at their school. This was done by having three or four couples form a Rueda circle, with the rest of the class flanking them on either side doing shines. It was a nice presentation that Barb arranged for that group, and it was a joy to prepare these students!
In February, 07, Barb taught Salsa Rueda in D.C. at a tech company's fitness center. Everyone had a good time, and the lesson was run at lunch time so the employees could easily attend.
On January 20, 07, Barb and Glen taught and performed at a wedding shower party. It was really fun. We taught these ladies a short shine routine that they will perform at the wedding reception later in the spring! I was approached with this idea for the shower party and thought it was very cool. After the instruction, we did a short dance demonstration and a good time was had by all!
DanceInTime also performed at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel on Jan. 6, 07 for a big event. Rodrigo, Glen, Barb and Rita did a Rueda presentation and also some one on one Salsa dancing. Then Barb taught the audience some basic moves. It was a lot of fun. Rodrigo left before we snapped some photos, so below is a picture of the other 3 of us!
Above: Barb, Glen, and Rita after performing in Baltimore, 1/6/07
-----------------
FirstNightAnnapolis asked DanceInTime to run the Latin Quarter again in 06 at their big New Year's Eve bash. This organization typically rotates the entertainment, but the DanceInTime "Latin Quarter" has been such a draw each year, that they've chosen to continue offering it. But so that there is some variety from last year to this year, I (Barb) was asked to think of a twist on what was done in the past so the program would be original. So....I arranged a "Dancing with the Stars" theme in the last two sets of entertainment---where some people from the audience were offered a chance to "compete." Those who chose to accept the offer, danced with one of the professional dancers and the audience applause determined the winner! It worked really well--everyone had a blast and the winners got small prizes. In addition, of course, in each set of entertainment that night, we provided Latin dance instruction and some performing (Salsa and Rueda) to make the New Year's Eve special for the audience.

----------------------
On January 10, 07 one of the DanceInTime teams performed at Zanzibar's Nightclub in Washington DC. We did the Charlie's Angels routine and got lots of nice compliments on our very original performance.
(In this routine, the ladies are "Charlie's Angels," assigned to break up a corporate espionage ring by distracting spies who are exchanging corporate secrets. Two angels dance with the spies while the other two switch the suitcases in which the spies have their secret information. When the spies exchange suitcases at the end, they think they are exchanging information. But they are exchanging the suitcases with nothing in them! It's very funny, and the dancing is to a Cha Cha version of "Whatever Lola Wants Lola Gets"---very cute.)
--------------------------
On Feb 10, 07 there was a Rueda classes (at 7 and at 8 PM) at Elan Dance Studio in Virginia. Later in the evening a Danceintime Rueda did a presentation during the open dancing. This is a new Sat night Salsa venue for Salsa dancing in the Merrifield area of VA.!
---------------
On September 27th, 06 Barb taught a Rueda workshop at 8 PM for the World Dance Festival in Essex, Maryland. It was on the campus of Essex Community College.
--------------------------
On September 30, 06, DanceInTime performed for the DanceDCFestival in Washington. This performance is right by the Eastern Market metro stop which is the orange line. I believe they are had all types of international dances, and they selected our Salsa presentation to the the final act, closing out the festival!

------------
On October 6th, DanceInTime will participate in the U.S. National Dance Campionships. Last year we performed and Barb taught workshops and judged some of the Salsa competitors. That time, our group was asked to simulate the nightclub scene with Rueda dancing from the movie Dance With Me. We performed in the Saturday night Gala, using the identical music as the movie, and mimicking many of the same moves! This year the event planners have a cute theme worked out for the Friday (10/6) show (can't reveal what it is!!) and Barb's Rueda team will perform then. Plus Barb is teaching a Rueda workshop on Saturday at 4 PM.

-----------------------------------------------
Then a few days after that, one of the Danceintime teams performed at a wedding!
Above: DanceInTime team that performed a "Charlie's Angels" Cha Cha routine at a wedding reception, 10/06
We also performed a routine at the Bethesda Dance Studio, at their Sunday party with Luvin' the Mambo on 11/05/06. It was very well received! In this routine, the ladies are "Charlie's Angels," assigned to break up a corporate espionage ring by distracting spies who are exchanging corporate secrets. Two angels dance with the spies while the other two switch the suitcases in which the spies have their secret information. When the spies exchange suitcases at the end, they think they are exchanging information. But they are exchanging the suitcases with nothing in them! It's very funny, and the dancing is to a Cha Cha version of "Whatever Lola Wants Lola Gets"---very cute.

DanceInTime is performing and teaching at the Army Research Lab's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
Above: Rodrigo, Barb, and German pose after a show at the Army Research Lab, 10/06
Some Danceintime performers also performed at yet another branch of the Army, located in Virginia, for their 2006 Hispanic Heritage celebration as well! Rodrigo and Tania Nunez did a dynamite Salsa presentation that they prepared just for this show! Of course, a Rueda circle with some shines was also included along with other presentations. Check out the videos of this show on the "performance videos" page of this website.
------------------
DanceInTime also performed their Charlie's Angels Cha Cha routine at the Bethesda Dance Studio's Luvin' the Mambo Social, sponsored jointly with Michelle Reyes. The same routine was performed first in October 06 at a private wedding where the team did that routine and then Tyffani and Dwight did a Salsa performance.
------------------
DanceInTime provided a Salsa Rueda lesson at Cecilia's Nightclub on Sat. August 12, 06 from 8 to 10 PM. Cecilia's has been a popular club in Virginia for quite some time. (A couple of years ago, some of the Rueda Team members from our group joined with members of Salsa Wild, a Salsa performance group in Baltimore, and did a United Nations Benefit Dance and Show. That dance was also held at Cecilia's. Video footage of the two Rueda routines that were done in that show are on the "Performance Videos" page of this website.)
--------------------
Also on August 25th, 06 DanceInTime's Vince and Ilene, taught and performed at a college orientation activity at Goucher College. Ilene is actually getting a master's degree from Goucher, so she'll be right at home!
------------
DanceInTime teachers Ilene, Vince, Joel, and Sheila took turns teaching along with Barb at Gardel's Supper Club in Baltimore all Saturdays from June 24 to July 29, 06. Each night at 7:30 PM, Rueda dancers did a demo and then from 8 to 10 PM, there were two one hour classes. (Address: 29 South Front St; Baltimore, MD). These classes were very successful with the help of seasoned students came out to join the circles.
--------------------
Artscape, an annual, humongous festival in Baltimore, asked DanceInTime to perform and teach in 05, 06, and 07. I understand that every year the festival brings in roughly a million people over the three days. In 2005, Barb and Glen did a demo and taught the audience in the "Hands On Artscape" program. In 2006, we were assigned to the "Street Theater" division. So we literally danced in the street (actually the sidewalk!). We were scheduled for 6 PM every day of the festival (July 21, 22, and 23). On Sunday, a group did a Rueda performance. Then Barb and Mike Fok taught some steps. It was a great event and though the weather wasn't great earlier in the weekend, it was quite nice by Sunday. See the photos on this page of our entertainment at Artscape
--------------
The women's team from DanceInTime performed at the annual Tribute to Women in Salsa in spring 2006. They presented a routine to music titled "Rebellion" which depicts a slave rebellion. It was very well received. See the photos on this page.
See the Women's Team from DanceInTime perform their dramatic routine to the song Rebellion (which depicts a slave rebellion.)

On June 11, 06 the Rebellion routine was performed again at the D.C. Salsa Congress. Our new performer, Tania, did a great job. She is a beautiful ballroom dance instructor and we are delighted that she is sharing her talent with the team. See the photos on this page of the four performers (Tania, Barb, Tyff, and Rita).
On June 29, 06 teachers from DanceInTime taught Casino Rueda from 8 to 9 PM at South Beach (7940 Woodmont; Bethesda MD). And the DanceInTime women's team also performed the "Rebellion" (Rueda) routine.
We actually tweak the routine continuously, so it has never been done exactly the same any time as the time before. Hopefully, it has become tighter and cleaner over time, too!

In May, 2006, several performances were done at Cinco de Mayo parties as well as a show at the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in Baltimore, MD. Some video footage of the Salsa demonstrations at these events is on the performance page of this website.
--------------------------
In early April, Fox 5 News covered DanceInTime, both interviewing Barb Bernstein and filming some Casino Rueda dancing. It was great fun. The newscaster, Holly, was very funny. She and Barb literally bantered back and forth on live TV. They were so pleased with how things went that they said they'd like to cover the group again. So stay tuned!! Click here to see this show.
------------------------
In April, 2006, DanceInTime was invited to join some Rueda dancers from Salsita Dance Studio in Philadelphia and Rueda teachers from some other groups. They collaborated on how they do basic steps, determined which moves they do the same way, and each teacher showed the group some new moves which were videotaped and shared. I got some wonderful new moves ("Zig zag, Sententa y Crusate," etc) from this sharing session which have already been presented in my classes. At one point, the teachers posed for a joint photo which is on this page.

teachers are posing here. Left to right: Martin & Hadar (NY), Athena (Philly), Barb then

It was suggested to me that I add a page where students or readers of this site (or anyone) could write to me with suggestions or feedback. This could be about anything from the operation of the Salsa Rueda classes, to material on this website, or the content of a show someone might have attended. Feel free to share your take on any of these things as it is always helpful to get feedback. To write to Barb, director of the group, click here.
