Stuff Going On

1.  ONGOING Latin Nights and classes

Check out the "Classes" page of this website for an up-to-date schedule of all ongoing classes.  Our Saturday class is great fun and covers all levels: beginners, intermediate and advanced. Each level has a teacher so all can proceed at the appropriate pace. $15/person. Sign in 12:45 pm; dance till 3:45 pm. See details on the “Ongoing Classes” page. Location: Chevy Chase Baptist Church (Social Hall); 5671 Western Ave. NW; Washington DC 20015. Enter through the back corner door at corner of Belt Rd. NW and Northampton St. NW.
Note that on September 7, we’ll have a 45 minute class and then social dancing till 4 pm.

There is a class every Friday, 9-10 pm, upstairs at Bossa Bistro. After that, dance to the live band downstairs. Teachers are Barb Bernstein and others from DanceInTime. $10/person which includes the cover charge for the band downstairs. (Tell the doorman you are there for class so he won’t charge the cover!) Address: 2463 — 18th Street NW; Washington DC.
Note that on Friday July 26, Barb will teach and a portion of the Bossa class proceeds will be sent to the Alzheimers Association. So come by and enjoy both the class and open dancing to the live band afterwards, and you will also be benefitting a very worthwhile cause.

The Silver Spring Salsa class on the last Thursday of each month at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Silver Spring. It’s 7:30 to 8:30 pm for beginning and intermediate dancers. We’re in “classroom #1.” Park, go up the stairs and enter the building on your left. Then follow the sound of music or laughter! $10/person. 10309 New Hampshire Ave.; Silver Spring, MD 20903.
